In the La Monacilla Golf urbanisation in Aljaraque (Huelva), Casa Leukos emerges as an architectural work that redefines the limits of contemporary residential design in this setting. Designed by Miguel Rodr\u00edguez, from the Miguel TuArquitectura Studio, this home, selected for the 31st Architecture Awards of the Official College of Architects of Huelva, captures the essence of contemporary style while reflecting a level of conceptual complexity and functionality rarely found in new-build single-family homes.<\/span><\/p>\n

The origin of a unique design home<\/b><\/h2>\n

Everything began with the vision of a client who was looking for more than a simple residence; they wanted a home that would serve both as a personal refuge and as a statement of design.<\/span><\/p>\n

After being advised by Miguel Rodr\u00edguez during the purchase of the plot, the client placed full trust in his creative ability, granting him complete freedom in the design of the project.<\/span><\/p>\n

This level of trust, based on the architect\u2019s reputation and his commitment to innovation, quality and excellence in every detail, enabled the creative process that gave rise to a truly unique design home.<\/span><\/p>\n

From the outset, the architect conceived the new construction as a space with a distinctive presence in terms of both its design and layout. The future Casa Leukos had to be different without sacrificing functionality.<\/span><\/p>\n

Inspired by the Greek concept of \u201cleukos\u201d, meaning white, the design incorporates a striking play of light that illuminates and transforms the interior throughout the day. The main fa\u00e7ade is imposing while remaining elegant. It incorporates sculptural elements and cantilevered beams that appear to set the structure in motion. In this way, this unique design home stands out within the landscape of the development.<\/span><\/p>\n

Functionality and comfort<\/b><\/h2>\n

Despite its bold external expression, the home maintains exceptional functionality. Most of the residential programme is developed on the ground floor, providing a comfortable and accessible living experience.<\/span><\/p>\n

On the upper floor there is an open, flexible space used as a multipurpose area, from which panoramic views of the surroundings can be enjoyed. From here, the owners can enjoy both sunrise and sunset from a terrace designed specifically for these moments.<\/span><\/p>\n

Every space in Casa Leukos has been carefully conceived to maximise comfort and enjoyment. The swimming pool, strategically located next to the main living area and protected by carefully designed architectural elements, becomes the social heart of the home, providing a private oasis for relaxation and social life.<\/span><\/p>\n

The main boundary wall, a miniature reflection of the home\u2019s distinctive design features, encapsulates the spirit of the project, offering visitors a unique experience even before entering.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sustainability and integration with the environment<\/b><\/h2>\n

The fa\u00e7ade system of Casa Leukos uses a hybrid solution, combining Termopiedra on the ground floor with an external insulation system (SATE) on the upper floor, a combination that enhances the aesthetic character of the structure while ensuring excellent interior comfort thanks to its high thermal performance.<\/span><\/p>\n

This approach reflects Miguel TuArquitectura\u2019s attention to technical detail, as well as the studio\u2019s commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency.<\/span><\/p>\n

The integration of Casa Leukos into its natural surroundings is fundamental. Miguel Rodr\u00edguez designed the home to coexist harmoniously with the landscape of the urbanisation while enhancing the quality of the built environment.<\/span><\/p>\n
