From a very young age, I felt a fascination for technical drawing. From there came my interest in design, which I gradually approached as a game that sparked my curiosity. That was the seed of what today lies at the heart of my professional life: architecture.
Over time, I developed my own vision of architecture. I came to understand that the combination of proportions and lines I once treated as a game had a fundamental power: the ability to create life experiences.
Today I see every project as a story that begins with a calm conversation and takes shape on a drawing. From there, it flows through a process of co-creation in which the experiential impact of every decision must always be kept in mind.
Mastering technique alone would be meaningless if I were to lose sight of the emotion that its proper use can generate in people through architectural design.
This is what motivates me every day in my work at the Architecture Studio I founded almost twenty years ago. It is also what connects me to that child who, without knowing it, was already projecting himself into the future as an architect.
Beginnings and a Passion for Detail
My professional journey began with the same enthusiasm with which I drew my first sketches as a teenager. In those years, technical design taught me something I still apply in every project at my architecture studio: precision is a form of respect, both for the idea and for the person who entrusts it to you.
Practising this profession over the past two decades has not always been easy. Today, I am deeply grateful that I persevered, working tirelessly to pursue my own dreams as an architect, guided by my principles and values.
Architecture demands consistency, adaptability to change, the ability to face technical and emotional challenges, and the determination to remain authentic in an increasingly competitive environment. Yet every obstacle has also been an opportunity to reaffirm my commitment to an architecture that unites functionality, aesthetics and coherence.
The Reflection of a New Generation
Today, when I see my eleven-year-old daughter taking an interest in floor plans, I relive those early feelings.
Sometimes she sits with me in front of a layout and gives me her opinion on how it could be improved. What is most surprising is her ability to observe. She has a highly developed aesthetic sensibility for her age.
Listening to my daughter now is like looking at myself years ago. Perhaps without realising it, she is learning to look at space through the same eyes I once had.
Those moments remind me why I chose this path.

An Architecture Studio Focused on People
In recent years, my architecture studio, Miguel TuArquitectura, has grown and consolidated. The recognition achieved has led to commissions from different geographical areas, beyond Huelva and Western Andalusia, where it is based.
This acknowledgement reflects our clients’ trust and a way of understanding architecture that is rooted in personalisation, honesty and innovation.
Every project is centred on people. From a newly built single-family home to a full renovation, the objective is always connected to the essence of my work as an architect: ensuring that design enhances the experience people are seeking.
This philosophy has become the identity of our studio and is what allows us to create projects that stand the test of time.
Looking to the Future Without Losing Our Essence
After so many years studying and working as an architect in Huelva, it is difficult for me to give a single definition of architecture. When I reflect on it, many values come to mind with which, in my view, architecture is — and must be — deeply connected.
When I see my daughter discovering that same excitement while analysing a drawing or imagining what a house would feel like from the inside, I understand that for me, architecture is more than a profession; it is a way of seeing the world.
In every line, in every decision and in every project, the same passion that has accompanied me since childhood continues to beat — the passion I now seek to pass on and that continues to guide the course of Miguel TuArquitectura: an architecture studio committed to creating spaces that tell stories, inspire and endure over time.
